I Put my Erythromelalgia into Remission

It seems like a dream to be able to say it. “I put my EM into remission.” And yet I did. My EM became progressively worse over several years. Life became so painful I prayed to be either healed or put out of my misery. This was no way to live. After a visit to Mayo and without much movement in the wake, I started doing everything I possibly could to lower inflammation in my body. The biggest lever I pulled was tackling Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS) which I now believe was the root cause of my EM. After putting EM behind me, I wanted to spend my life helping others do the same. I gathered all my inflammatory lowering tips and tricks into something I deemed The EM Protocol. It began helping others! I trained with Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker to treat CIRS. And with these tools in my belt, I saw a woman who’d suffered for almost two decades with EM begin to walk her disease process back with CIRS treatment. I treated another woman suffering from EM for six months quickly put her facial and hand EM into remission. I myself had gone from a scooter to meandering walks, from avoidance of a shower to soaking in a hot spring, from distraction due to pain to the presence required of a new mother. Haters are going to hate. It feels confronting to hear that this disease process can be put into remission if your disease process is not yet in remission. And yet, I have to shout it so that those suffering can hear- Remission IS possible. And you can do many, many things to tip the scales in your favor! In upcoming blogs and Youtube videos, I will share with you every tiny step I took to gain an inch here and there. “I put my EM into remission.” I say it to give you hope on your hardest days. I say it to invite you into the possible impossible dream!
